LPG bobtails are compact, truck-mounted tanks designed for the safe and efficient distribution of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), especially where high maneuverability is needed. They are typically installed on MAN, DAF, Volvo, Mercedes, or Renault chassis with configurations such as 4×2, 4×4, 6×2, 6×4, and 6×6.
Smaller fixed units (4×2 or 4×4) have a 16–18 m³ capacity and a total weight of around 18 tons, featuring a low, stainless steel side cabinet and an integrated compressor for compactness. Larger models (6×2, 6×4, or 6×6) hold 25–29 m³ and weigh up to 26 tons.
These bobtails serve industrial clients, autogas stations, and domestic or urban LPG storage systems—ideal for short-distance, flexible delivery operations. Built under ADR, TPED, EN 12252, and EN 12493 standards (or ASME/CODAP on request), they ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance in LPG transport and distribution.
